宇宙灵媒|与宇宙沟通的虚拟媒介
The Mediated Cosmos|Imaginary Media for Com- munication with the Cosmos
商朝占卜者用甲骨代表宇宙,击碎甲骨,随机碎裂的纹路即代表宇宙的证言。今天每日的宇宙星象通过占星师的转译,已经成为集体潜意识的基础设施。人与触不可及的宇宙的交流往往通过例如“天人感知”的虚拟媒介而完成。心灵感应、泛灵论、神秘学,在科学范式的主导下它们往往被划定为超自然或玄学的范畴。正如马歇尔·麦克卢汉所说,媒介即信息,这些超自然的虚拟媒介作为人与宇宙的感知直觉本身,是物质宇宙空间之外的隐形维度,而这些与物质宇宙的平行神话早已与现实世界以各种方式互相渗透。
Diviners of the Shang Dynasty used oracle bones to represent the universe, and when the bones were shattered, the random broken lines represented the testimony of the universe. Today the daily cos- mic horoscope has become the infrastructure of the collective subconscious through the translation of astrologers. The communication between man and the unreachable cosmos is often accomplished through the imaginary media of, for example, Interactions between Heaven and Mankind(天人感应). Telepathy, animism, occultism, they are often classified as supernatural or mystical under the dominance of the scientific paradigm. As Marshall McLuhan stated, the medium is the message, and these supernatural media, as the perception and intuition between human beings and the universe itself, are invisible substance beyond the material and space of the universe. The parallel myths of these microcosms have been penetrating into the real world for a long time.
“宇宙灵媒”尝试通过“中心”“能量”“几何”“共时”四种虚拟媒介构建人类与宇宙的感知坐标系,提供已知科学话语之外的更多视角,重构感知和直觉相较于技术对过去、现在和未来的影响。
The exhibition constructs a perceptual coordinate system for the communication with the cosmos through four imaginary media, attempting to provide alternative perspectives to the known world of science, and to reconstruct the power of perception and intuition over technology in the past, present and future.
伊利亚德(MirceaEliade)论述中心是仪式的神圣区域,中心是人类与宇宙沟通最原始的媒介,“中心”探索了人类建造寺庙、神树、神仙想要与宇宙交流的原始欲望。在中国传统宇宙观中,位于宇宙中心轴线的圣山或神树,是天-地-人的交点,人们在这里完成人类与宇宙(天)的沟通。正如无限细分的分形结构,每个细分都是缩小后的整体,这些连接宇宙的符号分身就像毛细血管一样深入我们的城市与空间。
Mircea Eliade states that the center as a sacred area for rituals, and in the traditional Chinese cosmology, the sacred mountain or sacred tree located on the axis of the center of the universe is the point of intersection of heaven-earth-humanity (天-地-人), where the communication between human beings and the universe is accomplished. Sacred mountains, temples, sacred trees, and deities established through the center are all symbolic representations as the axis and intersection point of the universe, and are the primitive desire of human beings to communicate with the universe through its subdivisions.
神圣几何学被认为是宇宙之镜。人类在荒芜中模仿宇宙的运行法则,建立坛城、宫殿等神圣建筑,表达对宇宙的敬畏并寻求其庇护。以方圆为基本图形绘制坛城曼荼罗是表现宇宙真理的一种图绘。“宇宙几何”展现了人类对地形、行星及抽象时空的测绘与微观重现。
“Cosmic Geometry” presents how human beings have mapped and recreated the topography, planets, and the abstraction of space and time in microcosm. Sacred geometry is considered the mirror of the universe. Mimicking the laws of the universe's operation in the midst of desolation, human beings built altars, palaces and other sacred buildings to express their reverence for the universe and seek its refuge. The drawing of the altar mandala with the square and circle as the basic figures is a graphic representation of the truth of the universe.
能量在由几何建构起的通道中传递,道家风水利用五行能量在建筑方位的循环规则趋吉避凶。炼金术士相信人体的能量转化原则是宇宙行星运行原则的复刻。“宇宙能量”关注能量在仪式场域中的流转过程,将人类命运的演化铺陈开来。
Taking divination as a start the randomness of any object can be used as a medium for human beings to obtain the enlightenment of the universe. Alchemists believe that the principle of energy transformation in the human body is a replica of the principle of planetary operation in the universe. “Cosmic Energy” focuses on the flow of energy in the ritual field, laying out the evolution of human destiny.
商朝,占卜者用贝壳或甲骨代表宇宙,击碎骨头,甲骨随机碎裂的方式即代表宇宙的答案。人类一直尝试通过不同的媒介获得当下宇宙的信息,“宇宙共时”考察古代占卜所用的甲骨、草,卡牌、硬币、随机排列的数字,甚至是当下所见的任何事物。容格将这一种共时性称为空间、时间、因果关系的交叉。以占卜为延伸,任何物体的随机性都可以作为人类获取宇宙启示的媒介。
During the Shang Dynasty, diviners used shells or oracle bones to represent the universe, and by shattering the bones, the way the oracle bones randomly shattered represented the answer to the universe. Humans have always tried to get information about the universe through different mediums, the oracle bones and grasses used in ancient divination, cards, coins, randomly arranged numbers, and even anything seen in the present moment. Jung refers to this kind of co-temporality as the intersection of space, time, and causality.
